Crochet Bag Idea aims to make its free patterns and learning resources usable by people with a wide range of abilities, devices and assistive technologies.
Our commitment
We want visitors to be able to find, read, navigate and print a crochet pattern without unnecessary barriers. Accessibility is considered in page structure, color, typography, controls, images and pattern formatting.
Accessibility work is ongoing. We review reported problems and prioritize issues that prevent someone from reaching or understanding the main content.

Technical target
Crochet Bag Idea aims to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA where reasonably possible. This is a target for design and review and should not be read as a claim that every page has already passed a formal independent audit.
The site is designed to support current versions of common browsers, zoomed text, responsive layouts and keyboard navigation.
Known and possible limitations
Older third-party content, embedded services or documents may not offer the same level of accessibility as the main website. A complex stitch photograph may also require more description than a short alternative text can provide.
If a pattern step, color contrast, keyboard interaction, download or third-party feature creates a barrier, please report it. We can often provide the essential information in another format while investigating a permanent improvement.
Accessibility feedback
Include the page address, a description of the barrier, the device or assistive technology used, and the format or outcome that would help. We aim to acknowledge accessibility messages within five business days.
